Gjallarhorn Necklace: Oseberg Horn Pendant
I cast this pendant as the Gjallarhorn, the golden horn of Heimdall, the watchman god of Norse mythology. Its mighty sound is said to echo through all nine worlds to herald Ragnarök. The surface is detailed with knotwork inspired by the ancient Oseberg ship carvings from Norway, capturing the eternal cycle of strength and renewal.
Heimdall guards the bridge to Asgard, blowing his horn when the great test arrives. Wearing the Gjallarhorn connects a man to vigilance and readiness. I build this piece to stand as a true heirloom, substantial in weight and carved with deep historical lines that command attention without weighing heavily on the chest.
I go over every piece by hand before it ships. The edges and the tip of the horn are worked smooth, so nothing snags or scratches. It is solid 925 sterling silver, not plated alloy. It ships in a dark wooden Viking gift box.
