I cast this one thick, with Jörmungandr wrapping the whole way around the outside, scale by scale, until the circle closes. Inside sits Yggdrasil, the world tree, worked in a gold tone so it stands clear of the heavy steel. It runs on a woven chain, and I made it heavy enough on purpose. It hangs flat and holds still against the chest. It does not swing around. It sits where you put it and holds.
Every part of it is solid 316L steel, built to keep its finish through anything you put it through. It will not rust, fade, or turn your skin. Wear it in the shower, on the job, out in the weather. It asks nothing of you and it does not wear thin. It only settles in.
The tree is about roots, about standing firm when things get rough. The serpent is a circle that has no last link to break. Together they stand for the things that keep going, the ones that outlast the noise. I make this for the man who anchors his own life.
