The tree sits at the center of this one, worked in gold against dark steel, with its roots and branches spreading out to fill a round medallion. A ring of runes runs around the outer edge. It has a good size to it, heavier than it looks, and it hangs flat and centered on the chest.
Yggdrasil is the world tree. It holds the nine worlds together, and the same tree that reaches up into the sky runs down into the dark as roots. Top and bottom are one thing. It is a good reminder of how a life works too. Where a man comes from and where he is trying to get to are not two separate stories, they grow from the same trunk. I make this for the man who keeps both in view, who does not cut off his roots to chase the branches.
